Around 5 p.m. on Friday, May 2, we received a report of a kayak that flipped beneath the No Hands Bridge at the American River Confluence. Two kayakers were on board. One was able to reach nearby rocks and is safe. A search is currently underway for the second kayaker.
The Placer County Sheriffβs Office and CAL FIRE NEU are searching with assistance from Auburn State Recreation Area, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, and CHP – Auburn.
