Road Work on State Route 36 in Trinity County Causes Delays Through July

🚧 Road Work Alert on State Route 36 in Trinity County 🚧

Construction is set to begin Monday, June 8 on the Mad River Preservation Project along State Route 36, from the Humboldt/Trinity County line to just east of South Fork Mountain Road.

Crews will be applying a new asphalt rubber chip seal, completing pavement repairs, fog sealing shoulders, and refreshing roadway striping to help preserve and improve the roadway.

⏱️ What to expect:
• One-way traffic control
• Up to 15-minute delays
• Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Construction anticipated through the end of July

Please slow down in the work zone, follow posted speed reductions, watch for workers and equipment, and plan for extra travel time.
