The two wildfires that have gained attention burning to the south in Nevada county and Amador county have gained significant containment. The Rices fire that began in early July has now reached over 90% containment and all evacuation warnings have been lifted and shelters closed. The Electra fire off of hwy 49 near Jackson is 40% contained with minimal growth, ending yesterday at just over 4000 acres.
