A Banner Health Center foot doctor says people have been neglecting their feet since the start of the pandemic. Dr. Travis Jensen a Podiatrist with Banner says he has seen an increase in foot health-related medical issues as people neglect to see doctors for the care of diabetic wounds, ingrown nails, and stress fractures across all age groups. The doctor says the increase is likely due to people being shut in during the pandemic and are now venturing out but shocking their feet with heavy activities like running and hiking. Before you head out you can avoid injury or shocking your feet by wearing fitted shoes, clipping those nails, and not neglecting foot pain. Dr. Jensen practices at Banner hospitals in Arizona.
