Sansue Bee Vang, a religious leader from Oroville, is facing multiple new sexual assault charges within his religious group. Originally charged in 2024, Vang is now accused of additional offenses after four more victims came forward. These victims, aged 18 to 32, report incidents dating back to when three were minors and one was a young adult, occurring between 2010 and 2012.
Vang is the founder of a religious group initially established in Appleton, Wisconsin, before relocating to Fresno, California, in 2015, and eventually to Oroville in 2020. The group, known as Kev Ntseeg Leej Niam Kee Tiam Vaj Lis Thum, aimed to build a temple and community at Table Mountain.
In addition to the new charges, Vang was previously accused by a 31-year-old woman of forcible rape in 2022 and 2023. She reportedly delayed contacting authorities due to threats from Vang. Another victim, an 11-year-old girl, alleged that Vang molested her multiple times over two years, also under threat of harm.
Vang had been acquitted of a misdemeanor sexual assault charge in 2013 in Wisconsin. With these new allegations, his upcoming trial date in March 2025 is expected to be postponed. Authorities are urging anyone with further information or experiences with Vang to reach out to Detective Tiffany Astrologo at the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
