If you are thinking of adopting a horse from Double Devil Wild Horse Corrals, there are some new rules.
New Wellness Checks: Effective January 20th, 2025
We are now requiring Adopters to complete (3) online Wellness Checks prior to the Title Inspection. The Wellness Checks include a series of 24 questions and uploading date and time stamped photos for Months 3, 6 and 9 an untitled horse/burro is in your care. Each horse/burro will need a separate Wellness Check completed. It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete the questions and upload photos. Please note, this doesn’t not replace Compliance Checks or Title Inspection, it’s an added layer of Adopter and Forest Service communication and support along your journey. Detailed information will be provided via email to Adopters adopting on or After January 20th, 2025.
