Carrie Phillips and Kelley Brackett have joined as the newest Region Supervisors for agricultural education in California.
Carrie Phillips steps into the Central Region role with over 20 years of experience. She started as a student teacher at Arroyo Grande High School and built her career at Bret Harte FFA. Since 2016, Carrie has served as Department Chair and FFA Advisor, leading students to multiple state championships in LDE and CDE competitions that advanced to nationals. Her work earned her recognition as a Teacher of Excellence and an Honorary American FFA Degree. Carrie also leads as Board President of Ag Align and contributes to CATA in sectional and regional leadership roles.
Kelley Brackett takes on the Superior Region with more than 15 years in the field. She taught at Round Valley High School for three years before spending 12 years at Willits High School as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. Kelley holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and Education from California State University, Chico, and a master’s degree in Teacher Leadership from the American College of Education. Her career focuses on mentoring students, developing agricultural education programs, and supporting future agricultural leaders.
