Assembly Woman Megan Dahle has announced her candidacy for California’s District 1 Senate seat currently held by her husband, Brian Dahle, whose term is ending.
The assemblywoman had just won the district’s assembly seat by a large majority with over 60% of the votes in the November General Election against her Democratic opponent Belle Sandwith.
Dahle, in her announcement, said she wants to be a “strong advocate with commonsense solutions and legislative experience” for the Northstate in the senate, with beliefs in upholding “safe communities, a strong economy and quality education for children.”
This would make it her second time filling a seat held by her husband, who has not announced plans or next steps in his political career.
