Assemblymember Heather Hadwick has been appointed to serve as Deputy Republican Leader by Assembly Republican Leader Heath Flora, joining the Assembly Republican Leadership Team.
“Assemblywoman Hadwick works tirelessly for her district and for the state of California,” said Leader Flora. “She brings that same energy and passion every day to the Republican Caucus, and I am pleased to add her to my Leadership Team as our caucus continues to push back on rising costs and failed policies coming out of Sacramento.”
“I’m honored to step into this leadership role and grateful for Leader Flora’s trust,” said Hadwick. “Assembly District 1 represents some of the most rural and resource-rich communities in California, and I will continue to fight to ensure our voices are heard in the Capitol. I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance policies that lower costs, strengthen public safety, and support working families across our state.”
The Assembly Republican Leadership Team includes Leader Heath Flora, Caucus Chair Juan Alanis, Floor Leader Kate Sanchez, Chief Whip Alexandra Macedo, and Deputy Republican Leader Hadwick.
Hadwick currently serves as Vice Chair of the Assembly Committees on Agriculture and Emergency Management, and as a member of the Budget, Business and Professions, and Insurance Committees. She also serves on Budget Subcommittee No. 3 on Education Finance, multiple Assembly Select Committees focused on issues including mental health, childcare costs, cybersecurity, housing, workforce development, and Native American affairs, and the Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management.
