Euthanized Bear in South Lake Tahoe Highlights Growing Human-Wildlife Conflicts

CDFW and California State Parks have euthanized a bear that was a danger to public safety in South Lake Tahoe with a long history of human conflict, including multiple home invasions and vehicle break-ins. Over the weekend, the bear broke into a locked, occupied trailer at 4:30 a.m. within Emerald Bay State Park, swiped at the camper inside, sending her to the hospital.
