CAL FIRE AEU, in collaboration with the El Dorado County Fire Protection District, El Dorado Hills Fire Department, and the El Dorado County Training Officers Association, recently conducted six days of water rescue training. This comprehensive program featured three State Fire Training Water Rescue Awareness/Operations courses and six multi-company drills. Firefighters from various engine companies, the Ponderosa Fire Center, and paramedic ambulance operators engaged in hands-on, scenario-based training focused on enhancing their swift water rescue capabilities.

Given that El Dorado County has fast-moving rivers and areas prone to flooding, these training sessions are essential. They ensure that first responders are equipped to provide high-level, all-hazard emergency services whenever the community requires assistance.
