E-bikes join the ranks of legitimate recreational activities, among horseback riding, snowmobiling, and mountain biking. The USDA Forest Service has clarified guidance on e-bike access across its near 160,000 miles of trails. E-bikes will continue to be allowed on trails that allow the use of motorized vehicles. Yet as the activity grows as another mode of recreational activities future considerations of opportunities for expanded access will be addressed.
