The Senators campaign has been once dubbed a David vs Goliath story, yet as Dahle’s campaign gains momentum throughout the state, becoming the Republican party nominee is a big win. Dahle said at the Anaheim Convention center for the state party convention “I am grateful for the opportunity to move to the general election with a unified party,“One-party control has left California with the nation’s highest poverty rate, out-of-control crime, high taxes and schools failing to deliver for students. The campaign remains focused on offering real solutions for the people of California.” This win gives Dahle a fighting chance as over the last two gubernatorial elections California Republicans did not nominate a candidate. Dahle won the endorsement by a supermajority of delegates from around California after a floor vote against three other candidates. Dahle has been in the Senate since 2019, has previously served as the Assembly Republican Leader, and was a former Lassen County Supervisor
