The Community Foundation of the North State has opened its Fall competitive grant cycle featuring
three grant funds – The Women’s Fund, The Animal Welfare Endowment Fund, and the Redding
Rancheria Community Fund. Last year, these funds cumulatively granted over $175,000 to area
nonprofits.
The Women’s Fund focuses on bolstering organizations that support women and children in the
Redding area. The Animal Welfare Endowment Fund grants to organizations in Shasta, Siskiyou, and
Tehama counties. The Redding Rancheria Community Fund, which supports a broad number of causes
in Shasta and Trinity counties is awarding grant dollars for general operating support. The grant
application period is currently open and closes on various dates in September and early October. A
grants workshop will be held on August 20th via Zoom at 2pm to give an overview of available
opportunities.
“We’re so excited to be opening another grant cycle and learning more about the needs facing our
local nonprofits,” said Justine Lehman, Community Foundation Program Officer. “These grant funds
have been established by local benefactors and provide funds to local organizations. It’s truly about
enriching our North State communities.”
For more information about additional grant opportunities, please contact Program Officer Justine

About Community Foundation of the North State
Your local partner for charitable giving, the Community Foundation champions generosity in the North State for
regional impact, leadership, and support. Whether it be a bequest from someone with a passion for a cause, a
scholarship established in memory of a loved one or community member, or a nonprofit agency looking to ensure
sustainability of their operations for the long haul, we connect these vital contributors to lift our region for greater
good.
We are a nonprofit, public charity serving the people of Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama counties, with a mission to
impact the region through the power of giving. Since 2000, the Community Foundation has awarded over $65
million in grants, made possible by the generosity of their fund holders and professional fund management
practices. For more information, call the Community Foundation at (530) 244-1219 or visit www.cfnorthstate.org.
