Colusa Meat Facility Boosts Local Agriculture Economic Growth and Jobs

CDFA Secretary Karen Ross and California Labor and Workforce Development Agency Secretary Stewart Knox toured the newly certified Colusa Meat processing facility in Colusa, CA. This 3,600-square-foot plant, certified by both the California Department of Food and Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, marks a major investment in local agriculture and community development. Developed by family-owned Colusa Industrial Properties, the state-of-the-art facility supports local livestock producers and meets rigorous federal and state food safety standards. It also offers flexibility for culture-specific meat processing, expanding access to locally sourced products for diverse communities. Colusa Meat is set to drive agricultural growth, regional economic development, and create new local jobs.
