CHP Thanksgiving Holiday Enforcement Leads to Over 1200 DUI Arrests and Thousands of Citations in California

CHP Northern Division From November 26th at 6:01 p.m. to November 30th at 11:59 p.m., the California Highway Patrol conducted its Thanksgiving Holiday Enforcement Period to protect motorists during one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.
CHP officers made 1,281 DUI arrests, issued 21,280 speeding citations — 718 of which were for speeds over 100 mph — and completed 52,290 enforcement actions statewide.
