The Pink Patch Project Returns!
The CDFW Law Enforcement Division has engaged for the second year in The Pink Patch Project, an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer. The pink patches are intended to stimulate conversation with the community, promote awareness about the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer and honor our officers and their loved ones who have been impacted by this disease.
Wildlife officers are authorized to wear pink versions of the uniform patch during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month. It’s a small part we can play to show our support to those brave women who have fought or are fighting breast cancer, and the less than one percent of breast cancer victims who are men.
For a limited time, pink patches will be available for purchase through the California Wildlife Officers Foundation: https://calwof.org/…/pink-patch-project-limited…/
