The Office of Assemblymember Heather Hadwick announces staff presented an award to Peak Women’s Care, a faith-based nonprofit in Portola, upon the opening of its new branch in Truckee.
Hadwick’s district director‚ Yolanda Cookson‚ toured the new facility and learned more about the services staff provide to women and families in the region.
The new location expands Peak Women’s Care beyond its Portola clinic‚ offering free and confidential pregnancy support services‚ including pregnancy testing‚ ultrasounds‚ educational resources‚ material support and connections to additional community resources.
Cookson presented a California State Assembly certificate of recognition celebrating the organization’s grand opening and expansion into Truckee.
