As soon as November, you will be able to purchase the new 365-day fishing license.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says the change to a year-long license, no matter what date purchased, has been long asked for by anglers across the state.
Sales declined as anglers did not want to purchase a license after the new year and receive fewer days on the waters for the same price. This change will allow them to receive 365 days’ worth of benefits after buying a license at any time of the year.
Sales are set to begin as soon as November 15th.
