Amazon is set to purchase 34 acres of land in Redding’s Stillwater Business Park to establish a new distribution center. The City Council will review a purchase and sale agreement for lot 11B, with the transaction valued at approximately $2.5 million. The planned facility will cover 95,000 square feet and cater to Redding and nearby areas.
The deal includes a refundable deposit of $50,000 and a due diligence period of 180 days, with the possibility of extending this period through additional payments. The sale is expected to close within 30 days after the inspection period concludes. Local economic development officials expressed enthusiasm about the potential benefits of Amazon’s presence in the community.
