The Cougars hit the road again for two more games, Thursday, November 11 and Friday November 12, where they took on host school No. 21 American River College (ARC), losing 80-63 and then dropping a tight game to De Anza College, 71-64, to close out the trip.

Lassen struggled defending the three point line against American River College, giving up a total of 12 three pointers, which all seemed to come in big moments. Whenever it looked like the Cougars would make a run, ARC would answer with a three pointer.

The following day Lassen came out fighting against the De Anza Mountain Lions, and had a halftime lead of 33-28. The second half was a slugfest that has De Anza narrowly pulling out the victory at the end of the game. Lassen had 11 different Cougars score with freshman Darien Guyton standing out in both games, scoring 20 points against ARC and 26 points against De Anza.

“We are not satisfied with the outcomes, but we are pleased the strides we made this week,’ said Head Coach Will Freedman. “We rebounded better, shared the ball on offense much better and were able to create a lot more easy shots. We are getting the shots we just need to convert them into points.”

Next up for the Cougars are No. 7 Yuba College (11/18), Mendocino College (11/19) and No.15 Los Medanos College (11/20).
