Modoc High School Athletic Director and soccer coach Rafael Sevilla has been named California State Coach of the Year for 2024-25, according to a letter from CIF Executive Director Ron Nocetti and a certificate of achievement from the California Interscholastic Federation and National Federation of State High School Associations.
The award is presented by the CIF and NFHS.
“It is nice to be recognized as California State Coach of the Year for soccer, but the true meaning for me is thinking about all the hard work my teams and all the players I have coached have put in since I arrived at Modoc,” Sevilla said. “It is truly through their commitment, hard work and dedication that makes all of this worth it. I am truly honored.”
