Modoc Wrestling Dominates Northeast Classic with Girls Championship and 13 Individual Placers

The Modoc wrestling teams delivered an impressive performance at the Shaun Wood Northeast Classic, held December 12–13. Dual matches took place on Friday, December 12, followed by the tournament competition on Saturday, December 13.

The Modoc girls team captured the tournament championship, while the Modoc boys earned a fourth-place finish in the large schools division. In addition to the team success, Modoc wrestlers recorded an impressive 13 individual placers.

First-place finishes were earned by Lauren (115 lbs) and Eliza (135 lbs).
Second place went to Aaliyah (145 lbs), Olivia (170 lbs), and Vanden (190 lbs).
Taking third place were Oliver (106 lbs), Gunner (126 lbs), Tallon (138 lbs), and Nick (285 lbs, Heavyweight).

JC (285 lbs, Heavyweight) finished in fourth place.

Rounding out the placers with fifth-place finishes were Trysten (132 lbs), Owen (157 lbs), and Kaiden (144 lbs).

Overall, Modoc finished with 13 placers, reflecting strong depth across weight classes at a highly competitive tournament.
