The Feather River College beach volleyball program continues to set the standard, capturing its third consecutive Golden Valley Conference (GVC) Championship and marking a historic run for the Golden Eagles. With this latest title, FRC has now secured six conference championships in just ten years of competition, solidifying its place as one of the premier programs in the 3C2A.
What makes this accomplishment even more impressive is the program’s success across multiple conferences. Since its inception, Feather River has competed in three different conferences—earning one title in the Coast Conference, two in the Big 8 Conference, and now three straight GVC championships since the conference’s formation just three years ago. No matter the conference, the Golden Eagles have consistently risen to the top.
“This group continues to embrace the standard of excellence that defines Feather River Beach Volleyball,” said Head Coach Sarah Ritchie. “Winning three straight GVC titles speaks to the work, consistency, and competitive mindset of our student-athletes.”
The Golden Eagles now turn their focus to postseason play. Ranked #2 in Northern California, Feather River will host the NorCal Playoffs on April 28, welcoming Folsom Lake College and American River College to Quincy. With a berth to the 3C2A State Championships on the line, the stakes are high.
Feather River enters the playoffs with momentum and confidence, continuing its pursuit of another state title after claiming the crown in 2024. The mission is clear: defend home court, advance, and make another championship run.
The Golden Eagles are not just competing—they’re building a legacy.
Feather River College is looking forward to hosting the NorCal Beach Playoffs on Tuesday, April 28. Warm-ups will begin at 9:00 AM, with the first match starting promptly at 10:00 AM.
