The Lady Golden Eagles started their season on the road to Foothill College (L, 1-0) Friday August 25th then back on the road to Cabrillo College (L, 6-0) Monday August 28th.
When asked about his season head Coach Conrad Gooley said, “Last year’s season was a building block for the team. This year we believe that we will go much further during the season and aim to make it to the playoffs. Our group this year is determined to make a change and build off the last season. We as a coaching staff are excited to see the team come together as one and the success that the women can accomplish this year. With our returning sophomores and large group of freshmen, we believe that there is only room for improvement. This season will be the start to continuous progress for the program for upcoming years. We believe that they will have a huge contribution to our success this year. They have come in and continued to put the work in to prepare for the upcoming season with excitement. They are a strong group of young women that have grown so much from the last season, while preparing in the off-season. This year will be exciting for not only us coaches to watch but also for our community. The Golden Eagles would love to have a crowd supporting them and motivating them during their home games this season.”
