Feather River College Athletics reports that the Golden Eagles volleyball team opened Golden Valley Conference play at Butte College Oct. 10. FRC won the contest in straight sets with scores of 25-7, 25-13 and 25-17, moving to 1-0 in conference play and 22-1 overall.
Sophomore Chloe Albiez finished with 11 kills while Teya Gibbs led the team with six service aces and 14 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Mia Rivera contributed four kills and two service aces.
The Golden Eagles will play at home Wednesday, Oct. 22, versus Lassen Community College. Game time is 6 p.m.
