Feather River College Athletics announces that the rodeo team opening on March 28 at the Coalinga College Rodeo. This year’s team is led by captains Cody Russell and Ava Solberg. The team captains describe the collegiate rodeo circuit as a “big family” as they compete against the same students at each event throughout the spring. Many of the rodeo students have competed against each other throughout the years, beginning as children, said Armstrong. Despite attending different colleges, they have remained friends, bonded by shared passions. FRC’s team captains describe the shared experience as one of the many things that makes collegiate rodeo events so much fun.
Congratulation to Joey Rawls and Ava Solberg on taking home the title as the Cal Poly Royal Reserve All-Around Cowboy and Reserve All-Around Cowgirl this last weekend in San Luis Obispo!!
