Feather River College Men’s Basketball Nears Conference Title After Dominant Win

Feather River College Athletics announces that the Golden Eagles men’s basketball team moves one step closer to clinching the Golden Valley Conference title with its 110-80 home victory over Shasta College on Feb. 7.

Sophomore Damonte Duhart recorded another double-double in the lopsided Golden Eagle win. Duhart scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Freshman guard Zacarrion Jackson chipped in 19 points and six assists, with Jerel Victor scoring 17 points. The Golden Eagles move to 19-7 overall and 8-0 in conference play.

The women’s basketball team didn’t fare so well Feb. 7, losing to Shasta 53-38. Jaquaila Whitaker led the Golden Eagles on Sophomore Night, finishing with seven points and one rebound. The team spread out the scoring: Vianne Lee also scored seven, while Makaylah Aguiar and Sataijia Warren each pulled in seven rebounds.

The Golden Eagles women’s basketball team marks Sophomore Night Feb. 7.

Both teams will play next at College of the Redwoods tomorrow,  Feb. 11. The women’s team plays at 5 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m.
