Feather River College is set to host its 14th Annual FRC Athletics Golf Tournament on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Plumas Pines Golf Resort in Graeagle, California. This year’s event will bring together community members and supporters for a day of golf, camaraderie, and fundraising in support of the college’s athletic programs, specifically baseball, softball, and volleyball.

The tournament kicks off with registration and access to the driving range at 9:00 a.m., followed by a welcome session at 9:55 a.m. The competition begins with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m., and players will finish and report their scores by 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided for each golfer after the front nine, and a special bonus lunch is available for $10. Participants will also enjoy various on-course contests, including long drive and closest-to-the-pin challenges.

Each player will receive a round of golf, access to clubhouse amenities, and enjoy the opportunity to participate in unique games like Poker Golf. The event is limited to the first 144 players, with an entry fee of $120 per person, which includes lunch. Sponsorships are also available for $50.

Proceeds from the tournament will be used to fund crucial improvements for the college’s baseball, softball, and volleyball programs. Planned upgrades include new batting cages and bullpens, hitting area renovations, and locker room expansions for the baseball and softball teams, as well as facility and equipment improvements for the volleyball team.

This annual event not only aims to enhance the athletic facilities but also to provide scholarship opportunities and better learning environments for student-athletes. Feather River College is committed to offering top-notch programs that continue to attract and develop the region’s best athletic talent.
