Feather River College Athletics announces the FRC football team will open its 2026 season at home this Saturday, Aug. 29, when the Golden Eagles welcome Shasta College to Quincy. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the FRC football field, 570 Golden Eagle Ave.
The season-opening matchup renews a Northern California rivalry and gives Golden Eagle fans their first opportunity to see the defending Pacific 7 Conference champions in action. Feather River enters the new season following its 2025 American Division championship campaign.
Admission is free for current FRC students, FRC staff, students at Quincy Junior-Senior High School and children under 12. Other students pay $3, seniors pay $4 and adults pay $5.
Organizers say spectators should use the designated public parking areas near the athletics complex and follow all posted campus parking and traffic signs. Permit-only, disabled-access and restricted parking areas must be observed at all times.
FRC says spectators must leave pets at home. Service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law.
Fans unable to attend can watch the contest online. The livestream link will be available through the gold video link accompanying the Shasta game on the football schedule.
