Premium deer, elk and pronghorn tag holders whose 2021 hunting seasons were cut short or eliminated as a result of wildfires and public land closures now have the opportunity to return their unfilled tags and have their preference points reinstated. Elk and pronghorn tag holders can also request a refund of their tag fees. The unfilled tags and written requests must be mailed to CDFW, postmarked no later than Saturday, April 30. See the news release for the list of eligible hunts and more information on tag returns.
