On June 26, 2021, AFA held our 4th Veteran’s Fishing Day. With 117 Veterans and 52 Boats and Captains it was a Patriotic day in Plumas County. After a great day on Lake Almanor Veterans were treated to a tri-tip and chicken barbeque at LACC, Rec Area #1 on the Peninsula. Approximately 250 guests attended the barbecue. A raffle was held for participating Veterans where we awarded more than forty prizes. All attendees were honored to have Mr. John Bottomley, WWII Air Corp Veteran celebrate his 98th Birthday with us all. Mr. Bottomley received a standing ovation for his service. What an honor. Thank you Veterans, Captains and Volunteers. This absolutely could not happen without all of you.
