Tom Swickard, rancher, golfer, and longtime resident of the Honey Lake Valley passed away on February 13, 2026.
Friends are invited to attend memorial services for Tom at Jensen Hall, at the fairgrounds at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lassen High School Golf team or the Wounded Warrior Project.

eff Bidwell was born July 27, 1952 in Bieber, CA to Gene and Merldean Bidwell. He
was born on a Sunday morning and his mom loved to tell the story that the church bells
were ringing when he was born.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Big
Valley High School Gymnasium in Bieber, CA. A reception will follow at the Veterans
Memorial Hall in Bieber.

Longtime Lassen County resident, Tina Louise Richards (61) passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, surrounded by her sisters in Christ and dear friends – Daisy, Alex, and Brenda at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Reno.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Reaching Nations for Christ Church, 805 Wada, Susanville, California. All are welcome to join in honoring Tina’s beautiful life.

Services for Monty will be this Saturday at the Mountain Valley Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at eleven AM located in Standish on highway 395.

Dr. Clarence Owen "Buck" Bateson D.C. DABCO, passed away in Southside, TN, on February 14, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on November 18, 1941, in Sewickley, PA, to Clarence and Virginia Bateson.

Barry Ross Walter Sr. passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, music, and dedication to family.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 65 S. Lassen St, Susanville, CA at 11:00am. Reception and gravesite service to follow.

Ethel Viola Wilson went home to be with the Lord February 7, 2026.  She was born in Janesville, California November 19, 1938.  She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Wilson, she is survived by her 3 children, 7 grand children and numerous great grand children.  She requested we not have a service for her which will be honored.

Phyllis Marie Nuding Seifert Fromm passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at the age of 85.
A small family gathering to honor Phyllis’s life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Diamond Crest Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Phyllis’s name to the Northern California Cancer Advocacy.
Phyllis’s life was a testament to resilience, faith, and the enduring power of love. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Kathy Scully, a woman defined by her unwavering faith, her industrious spirit and her deep roots in the Quincy community, passed away Jan. 15, 2026. Known affectionately by many as “Mick,” she leaves behind a legacy of sincerity, hard work and a heart dedicated to serving others — a life of journey and purpose.
She expressed her desire for a grave-side service, which the family is planning for the spring. Information about the service will be available at that time through the Quincy Community Church

Betty Erwin went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2026, with her children and family by her side. She was born in Susanville, California on December 24, 1941, the fifth of 11 children to Henry and Delia Jones. She graduated from Lassen High School, which she proudly accomplished in 1959.
