SHARE NOW

A winter storm warning is in effect and weather conditions will deteriorate for any travel plans. This remains in place through Sunday. A warming trend will bring rain early in this series of storms for areas below 5500 feet. Yet by late tomorrow into Friday snow again returns as temperatures drop bringing snow levels down to 3000 feet later in the week and Christmas and closer to 1500 feet or lower next week.

There will be a window for travel, if you are headed out for the holiday. There will be break in the heavier snowfall late tomorrow and early Christmas Eve.

Additionally with highway 70 closed at the greenville wye down to Jarbo gap due to the slide in the Feather River Canyon traffic has rerouted through hwy 32 into the area which can be rough travel with inclamate weather. The roadway through that canyon remains icy with little sunlight reaching the roads. Be aware large trucks are also using 32 as an alternative route. If you need to travel hwy 32 Use caution and slow down through the area.
