Winter returns, a cold blast is expected to hit the area starting today and last through Thursday. You can see some high gusting winds as the system moves in today. Take time today to prepare, secure anything you think may blow loose, gusts will reach up to 40miles an hour. The Reno national weather service has issued a winter weather advisory for 7pm this evening through tomorrow at 10am. You can expect a few inches of snowfall with this system. What will impact you the most are the roads. Roads will get slick and hazardous especially in the passes in the early morning hours, snow is expected to be light throughout the day tomorrow as well. Take your time getting out the door and heading back to school or work after your three day presidents day weekend.
