A wind advisory is up for the 395 corridor between Johnstonville and the Nevada Border! High-profile vehicles are NOT recommended! Winds are increasing this afternoon as a weak storm pushes through. Gusts along ridges are expected to top 60 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph along 395. By early evening winds will die down. By tomorrow a stronger storm will arrive for the weekend; now is the time to prepare for a few inches of new snow for those areas above 5000 feet. Expect travel delays as chain restrictions will begin to pop up early tomorrow morning. Travel over the passes will likely be slow-moving.
