Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative announces that area high school sophomores, juniors and seniors have the opportunity to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., as part of PSREC’s youth education enrichment programs.

The lucky winner will join high school students from across the nation to tour Washington, D.C., in late June. PSREC promises that the trip provides a positive, life-enriching experience. The winner will learn more about how government works while also visiting the Smithsonian Institution, Arlington National Cemetery, Capitol Hill, the Sunset Parade at the Marine Corps War Memorial and more.

To qualify, a high school sophomore, junior or senior’s primary residence in Plumas, Lassen, Sierra or Washoe county must be supplied with either electric power through PSREC, or internet service through Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications.

An application form is available to download from the PSREC website at www.psrec.coop or by calling 530-832-6032. Applications must be returned to PSREC by Jan. 30.
