With wildfire season at our doorstep, local agencies are gearing up to help you protect your home.
You can learn more about available Services and how to ready your home for a wildfire. Starting at 9 am, The Clear Creek Fire Department will discuss defensible space, vegetation, and fuel reduction around your home. There will be fire trucks available for photo opportunities and hands-on learning. They will have a contest for adults and children, raffles, and information for those interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter. The event will run until noon at the Clear Creek Fire Department on Hwy 147.
Following this at noon, The Westwood Fire Department will host a potluck and have Calfire and an Insurance Agent on hand to help with questions and resources at the Westwood community center.
