Only a handful of weeks left to register to vote for the November 8th General elections. Local elections for Lassen County will be held for District 5 Supervisor between Tom Traphagen and Jason Ingram, as both did not secure a 50% vote in the Primary elections in June. Also on the ballot for the City of Susanville will be the advisory measure R for the city’s cannabis ordinance. Plumas county voters will be looking at several other items on the ballot including three college board and three school board seats, the Almanor Basin will vote on a Seneca healthcare district bond measure, and the city of Portola will vote on city council members. Statewide there are 7 ballot propositions, the fewest to appear on the ballot since 2014. Elections offices will begin to mail out your ballot by October 10th. Yet if you have not already done so, by 5 pm on October 24th will be your last chance to get registered.
