The North Valley Community Foundation announces the application period has begun for the 25 college scholarships being offered this year. Most opportunities are available to graduating high school seniors who will be attending college or trade school in the fall. Students from any high school in Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Colusa and Plumas counties are eligible. A few are also available to current college students.
In 2024, NVCF awarded 61 scholarships totaling nearly $100,000, the highest number in its history. There also were a record number of applicants – 162, more than double the previous high. For 2025, an additional five scholarships are being offered, including a NVCF leadership scholarship.
Applications and details about each scholarship can be viewed on the organization’s website. Students can select the name of their school in the dropdown list to see which opportunities they are eligible for. The application deadline for most scholarships is April 18.
