The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office is releasing initial information regarding two civilians who sustained burn
injuries associated with the Bug Fire.
The two individuals received initial medícal care from firefighters and paramedics assigned to the Bug Fire. Both
were subsequently transported by Care Flight to the UC Davis Burn Center for further treatment.
At this time, information regarding the circumstances surrounding the injuries remains preliminary. The Lassen
County Sheriff’s Office is working with incident personnel and cooperating agencies to gather additional
information. To protect the privacy of those involved, no further details regarding the individuals or the
circumstances surrounding their injuries are being released.
The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to the firefighters, paramedics, Care Flight
personnel, and all first responders involved in providing rapid medical care and coordinating the transport of
the injured individuals.
