Traffic Delays Expected Due to PG&E Undergrounding Projects in District 2

PG&E is actively working on undergrounding infrastructure in District 2, which may lead to traffic delays. Motorists should be aware of the following areas affected by these projects:

State Route 70 (Plumas County)

  • Bucks Creek 1101: Work is ongoing from east of the Butte/Plumas County Line to west of Storrie. Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected, Mondays to Fridays, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Bucks Creek 1102: Operations are continuing from west of Storrie to east of Caribou Road, with similar delays expected during the same days and times.
  • Gansner: Roadway restorations are anticipated for late July between the Greenville Wye (junction with SR 89/70) and Keddie, with possible daytime delays of up to 15 minutes.

State Route 89 (Plumas County)

  • Crescent Mills (Permit work): Construction is ongoing between Greenville and the Greenville Grade through early fall. No mainline lane closures are expected.
  • Greenville (Permit work): Work is taking place south of Greenville Dump Road to east of Standardt Mine Road. Most activity is on shoulders with minimal traffic impact, although traffic control may cause delays of up to 15 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during daytime hours.
