Lassen County Supervisors meet for a second consecutive week. The supervisors will again address the California Community Block Grant program for which three county entities are battling for funding. Leavitt Lake’s backup well is forgoing state closure, leaving the area without a second drinking source, Westwood CSD is in need to install an additional water storage tank as mandated by the state, and the Westwood Community Center is looking to upgrade to provide more for the community. they fight for the funds as the state has recommended only one project to get funded to safeguard the county from having to pay back any of the money were the project to not get completed within the required 5 year time frame. The meeting begins at 9:30am this morning at the Supervisor Chambers at 707 Nevada Street in Susanville.
