The Plumas County Bar Association announced it elected Madeline Warren Dec. 18 as its new president. Warren succeeds outgoing bar president David Hollister, Plumas County district attorney.
Hollister said he was grateful for the opportunity to serve and looked forward to continuing his efforts as district attorney. “Madeline is honest, hardworking, smart, talented and is an excellent asset for our local bar association, legal community and Plumas County,” he said.
Warren attended Westminster College in her hometown of Salt Lake City, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business, graduating summa cum laude. She then attended University of California Hastings College of the Law, in San Francisco, graduating cum laude in 2014. During law school, Madeline completed externships in both both the unified family court and probate divisions of the San Francisco Superior Court.
Warren practiced family law for more than a decade in the San Francisco Bay Area, litigating domestic violence restraining orders, high-conflict custody cases and complex financial matters. She was named a rising star by Super Lawyers Magazine for seven consecutive years and became a certified family law specialist in 2022. In 2025, Warren made a career change and is now a deputy district attorney working remotely in the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office Consumer Fraud and Environmental Protection Unit.
Warren, her husband and their border collie moved to Plumas County in 2022. In addition to the Plumas County Bar Association, she is active throughout Plumas County, including volunteering as both a coach and board member for the Lost Sierra Composite Mountain Bike Team.
