Mid-afternoon yesterday, the Susanville Police Department was shaken up as a small SUV slammed into the side of the department’s building. The SUV traveled across Main street, jumped the curb, then up and over a concrete flower bed into the department’s workout room wall. No officers were inside the room at the time of the collision. No injuries were reported. The wall sustained significant damage.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were transported for medical treatment. Officers said the driver suffered a seizure while driving, causing them to lose control of the car.
