Susanville’s Farmer’s Market Kicks Off Summer Season this Saturday

A decades-long tradition, kicking off Susanville’s summer season, is the uptown Farmer’s Market, now in its 2nd year under the Local Area Revitalization Co-op Project management. Financial Officer David Teeter with LARP says the market has always struggled with providing producers due to the challenges of the area. Yet, the Co-Op is continuing its efforts with the Thompson Peak Educational Farm to expand and bring more acres of produce to bring to the market and inspire others to do the same. Teeter also adds that this season will be the most significant showing of vendors for opening day, saying there has been tremendous growth and success of many local small businesses, showcasing all their products this Saturday from 8 to noon. You can head to Pancera Plaza to launch the start of the Farmer market season, which will be accompanied this year by 5-night markets, held on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8 pm.
