Susanville’s Fire Chief announces the city’s weed and rubbish deadline, leaving you a handful of weeks to clear your property. Fire Chief Moore at the council’s May 3rd meeting, says you have nearly 7 weeks to clear your property to the city standards; the deadline has been established as June 26th. Chief Moore said after the deadline; homeowners will be subject to be in compliance or face fines.
Moore shared that last year 92 red tags were given out, with 26 going into non-compliance and only six abatements going into a lein process. The Chief said these numbers are very low, and most homeowners in the city comply once notified.
The deadline is the last Monday of the month, June 26th.
