You have a few more weeks to clear your property of weed growth. The Susanville Fire Department has posted the abatement deadline as June 27th. All properties will be required to cut back all combustible growth to a certain height and distance from your home. The department enforces the city code to help prevent and slow the spread of fire. You cannot remove the weeds by open burning, yet you can contact assistant chief Hernandez for more information at 257-5152.
