The popular junior fishing derby returns to Susanville. The city will be co-sponsoring the event. The city will co-sponsor as well as provide financial contributions to help supply the fish, make flyers, and waive park use fees. This will be the 33rd annual derby for children aged 2 to 18. An organizer of the event even shared this event spans generations as last year was the first year a grandparent that participated in the derby as a child shared the tradition with their grandchild. The event will take place May 21st at Memorial Park.
