Wednesday, morning just after midnight, officers were called to Pardee Avenue and Hood Street after multiple gunshots were heard. Officers arrived in the area within minutes and began canvassing the area. While searching for suspects, Banner Lassen Medical Center contacted the dispatch center, reporting that a 36-year-old man had come into the Emergency Room with a possible gunshot wound. An officer went to the ER, and met with the victim and a possible witness.
The man was transported to an out-of-area hospital for emergency care, and the witness told the officer that they did not observe the shooting. Only very little information was provided. The police department says there is no suspect description or other evidence leading to a possible suspect.
If anyone has information, you are asked to contact the Susanville Police Department, Detective Richard Warner at 530-257-5603
